The infrastructure that matters most
Airports: new airports bring jobs in logistics, hospitality and services, for example around Navi Mumbai and Jewar (Noida).
Metro and suburban rail: cut commute times and make peripheral townships practical.
Expressways and ring roads: open up land, but only near interchanges.
Industrial parks: create steady demand for housing nearby.
Where to find official information
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and state road agencies for highway projects.
Metro rail corporations for metro alignments and station locations.
Development authorities (for example CMDA, MMRDA, BDA, HMDA) for master plans.
State industrial development corporations for industrial parks.
Announced, sanctioned or under construction?
Always distinguish between these three stages. An announcement is not a timeline. Sanction means funding and approval. Construction on the ground is the strongest signal.
