What RERA portals publish
Every state RERA authority maintains a public register of projects and agents. For each registered project you can usually see the promoter, location, approvals, the declared completion date and regular progress updates.
What the data can tell you
How many projects a developer has registered, and where.
Whether earlier projects were completed on or after their declared dates.
Whether completion dates have been extended.
Complaints and orders against a project or promoter.
Limits of the data
Formats differ from state to state.
Some small projects are exempt from registration.
Progress updates are self-reported by promoters.
